Air Taurus Secures PDRA G02 Authorisation for BVLOS Drone Operations in Europe

Dublin, Ireland – Air Taurus Limited is proud to announce its successful attainment of PDRA (Pre-defined Risk Assessment) G02 Operational Authorisation from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). This approval marks a major milestone, enabling Air Taurus to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations under specific conditions, further cementing its leadership within Europe’s UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) industry. 

Air Taurus is currently the sole operator in Ireland to achieve this distinction. Granted under the EASA Regulation (EU) 2019/947, which governs the operation of unmanned aircraft, this authorisation highlights the company’s commitment to innovation and compliance with European safety standards. It positions Air Taurus at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge drone solutions tailored to the evolving needs of various sectors across Europe. 

The PDRA G02 authorisation permits Air Taurus to operate drones in low-risk environments, supporting critical services such as logistics, medical supply deliveries, and other commercial applications. This achievement paves the way for scaling drone operations to improve efficiency and sustainability, particularly in addressing logistical challenges in rural and remote areas.
