Air Taurus Limited launches Pilot Project for Drone Delivery of Post and Medicine to Clare Island (Ireland)

Air Taurus Limited, a leader in advanced logistics and unmanned aerial solutions, is proud to announce the launch of an innovative pilot project in Ireland aimed at delivering post and essential medical supplies to Clare Island using cutting-edge drone technology. This initiative marks a significant step forward in Ireland’s logistics capabilities, specifically targeting remote and rural areas.
The project utilises Eiger drones from Skyport, manufactured by the renowned drone company RigiTech. Known for their reliability and high performance, these drones are equipped to handle challenging terrain and unpredictable coastal weather conditions, making them ideal for the unique requirements of Clare Island.
Under this pilot, Air Taurus will focus on two primary services:
- Post Delivery: The service will provide faster, more consistent delivery of letters and parcels to the island’s residents, reducing dependence on traditional methods.
- Medical Supplies: In partnership with local healthcare provider, the project aims to deliver essential medications and supplies directly to those in need.
